Ohm Jagath Karani Mantra

A teaching on the practice and meaning of a sacred mantra.

A mantra is not a magic word. It is a tuning fork for consciousness.

The Jagath Karani mantra invokes the creative current that moves through all worlds — jagath, the universe in motion; karani, the doer, the making-force. To chant it is to align your small daily making with the great making.

Practice: sit comfortably at dawn or dusk. Take three slow breaths. Chant softly, letting the sound settle into the chest rather than the throat. Begin with nine repetitions; let the count grow naturally over weeks, not days.

The measure of progress is not volume or speed, but the quality of silence the mantra leaves behind. When the sound ends and something in you keeps humming — the practice has begun to work.
